S.A. Nott – Picture of Death

The cover for this crime thriller features the climax of the story wherein the protagonist, a closeted politician ardently fighting for family values, inadvertently murders his lover in a fit of rage. This dramatic moment is captured on camera by a private investigator. The entire look and feel of this moment was arranged by S.A. Nott, from the physique of both men to the luxurious aesthetics of the hotel room to the exact lifeless posture of the victim. This incredibly specific scene required an extensive search not only for stock images that fit within these parameters, but for images that could be manipulated into a realistic composition. The high contrast makes the scene much more dynamic while hiding slight imperfections where the three images were stitched together. Nott and I could not have been more pleased with the result.
